Dear students, parents and carers

Congratulations to the Class of 2023 who collected their GCSE results today! Their incredible determination and commitment have led to outstanding achievements. 

Special mention should go to Eddy Lin who needed to sit several examinations from his hospital bed but still achieved two grade 9’s, with a further 6 high grades. Excellent results for Zaynab Hussain achieving 9 high grades including a Grade 9 in English Language. Alex Tyfa achieved 8 high grades including Grade 9’s in English and History! We are also delighted with the amazing effort and progress from Josh Wood, Amy Bintcliffe, Charley Simpson, Kayleigh Pegram, Sommer Spencer and Shad Sulayman. Well done for demonstrating that effort and hard work pay off.

Ms Devane, the academy’s headteacher said: “Once again, we are immensely proud of the dedication our students have demonstrated to their studies. They have grown in confidence as they have progressed academically, socially and in becoming young adults.  What they have achieved is exceptional, inspiring and showcases what a talented group of young people they are.

I would like to thank our teachers and support staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure students are able to successfully progress onto the next step in their educational/employment journey.
